Check frequently asked questions about Percent
You have been asked to design a program that will allow a teacher to calculate the percentage and the final grade for students in a class. The program will prompt the teacher to enter the student’s first and last name and the number of points the student received. The program shall only accept scores between 0 and 1,000 points (including 0 and 1,000), with 1,000 points being the maximum number of points. If the input value is within the valid range, the program will display a "good score" message; otherwise, the program will display an mistake message and then terminate the program. The program shall then calculate the score percentage, and then determine the grade based on the percentage using the following grade criteria: Score Percent Range Grade 90-100 A 80-89 B 70-79 C 60-69 D 0-59 F The program will then display the student’s first name, last name, number of points, calculated percentage, and the final grade. The program shall have an initial prompt informing the user of the program's purpose, and a program termination message. Be sure to THINK about the logic and design first (IPO chart and pseudocode), then code the Visual Logic command line processing.

Open Question: What percent of Penssylvania voters used the straight ticket option in the 2012 general election?
"Straight Ticket Voting" is an option only available in about 15 states including PA. It is an option where one can walk into the voting booth and on the first page press a button that says "republican" or "democrat" and it will select every of the republican candidates or democrat candidates in every of the elections. I need to know what percent of votes cast in the 2012 general election in PA were straight ticket votes. And, if you can find it, what percent of democrats used straight ticket voting and what percent of republicans used straight ticket voting? Thanks.

I am about 60 percent white, 20 percent asian, and 20 percent black. I think I look like i'm mostly white, but there are some features that make me look asian or black. At school, most people think I'm white.(by the way, my school has mostly latino kids) And people don't believe me because of how I look. Here is what I look like: Light skin (but not too pale) My nose is a little big but not too pointy My ears are medium sized and not too big or tiny My eyes are almond shaped (my eye color is hazel (green and brown)) Head is shaped kinda like a peanut (lol) Brown, straight hair (not short or long) I'm 13 yrs old and 4 ft 11 (I'm tiny for my age) I'm kinda skinny Most people at school just look at people's hair color and skin color and judge what a person's nationality is. I also have 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Two of my brothers have darker skin and different nice of hair than me. One of my two brothers looks more asian because he has black hair and is hair nice if sticks up (but it doesn't stick up too much) and the other looks more black because he has the darkest skin and his hair is more wavy (it used to be curly when he was a kid). Sometimes people don't believe we are brothers. The relax of my brothers and my sisters look kinda same. But there are some features that we every have in common, like we have the same noses and eye shape and head shape. Anyways, it seems like people judge if we are related or not and what race we are by how we look. Why do people do that?

Fast-Food Workers Strike for Higher Pay in Seven U.S. Cities American quick-food and retail workers have been striking this year for higher wages, and the protest starting today seeks wages of $15 an hour, 66 percent higher than the $9.02 that U.S. quick-food cooks earn, on average. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2013-07-29/quick-food-workers-strike-for-higher-wages-in-seven-u-dot-s-dot-cities Why not just keep the prices of quick food where they are and settle for a slightly lower profit? Just playing devils advocate. Big Mack doesn't have to cost $25. Mc Donalds and others can simply accept a lower profit. Skilled manufacturing jobs are gone forever. If the service sector jobs are the new norm, shouldn't they be paying a higher wage? Not saying its right or wrong just bringing up a valid point.

So this issue kicked off two days ago. It was running just fine the night before until suddenly, tardy at night, I noticed that YouTube videos were not only loading -incredibly- slow (a thirty second video, a five minute wait time) but it was slowing my computer down along with it. I thought, "Fair enough, YouTube's acting up again; we'll just watch some later." I decided to just surf the internet for a while until I noticed very easily that everything was being slow. I mean, most things loaded but only after a certain amount of time and that 'certain amount of time' was easily too bloody long. The internet acted up from there like a kid without his gigantic lollipop. If I 'strained' it by opening, like, three or four tabs that it was desperately attempting to load, the internet would simply turn off on my end. It'd give up and bomb, after which it'd take about two to as long as seven minutes to receive it back on. Games ran fine. I mean, on WoW I got a steady ping of 90-100. That freaking -skyrocketed- when I started browsing the internet on my second monitor whilst playing the game. The ping would go from 105 to 300 in about five seconds of starting Google up, and trying to watch YouTube while playing a game? Jesus, the stuff of nightmares, that. The ping would go up to 7000 at that point. On that exact day, I actually -did- manage to take the time to run a scan with Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials simultaneously. Nothing. I then forgot about Spybot Search & Destroy and decided to run that today and I wound up finding three things - I can't remember what they were called; something like XingHao LyricsPal, SweetIM and one other - where SweetIM had about, like, 127 finds next to it, XingHao had about 6 or something. There was one other but I can't recall what that one was. I had to restart because one didn't receive removed and, joy of joys, the scan when it rebooted took like an hour or two. I had a nap while it did that. When it was 'cured', I immunized myself and checked the speed of the internet. So... yeah, no, it was still slow as hell. I decided to scan with Spybot again, along with MalwareBytes, and found SweetIM and two other different things with Spybot and three things with MalwareBytes. What I remember is that most of the viruses originated from the registry, if that's useful to know. Anyway, I used -both- programs to clean my threats. Nothing. My internet is still slow and speed test records my download speed as around .40-.50, my upload speed at .60-.70 and my ping is usually in the high 30's. The internet is still relatively unstable as, if I try to open at least two things that are trying very difficult to load, the internet just goes off for about a minute or two and reconnects, obviously failing to reload in the process. I don't know what's wrong here. I use Chrome; do I need to simply take that off and reinstall? I was installing a game on Steam the night before it happened and the time it took had always been a bit bad so my pal told me about this neat QoS packet trick. I ended up having the bandwidth thing use like, what, zero percent or something? Anyway, maybe that's useful to know as well. If anything, that 'neat trick' did actually help me install my games as it didn't take achingly long. That, of course, is no longer the case. I reckon it'd take centuries to install Mario. Anyway, I really need some assistance here. I would appreciate it. Thank you. -Jameson Right, so there are a bunch of schost processes that are taking up -more- than enough memory here. There's 11 processes of schost.exe, each hogging up from 200-20000k memory, but... I don't know. I looked it up and apparently it could be a rootkit.

I mean, it doesn't matter how you look at it, it is by no means normal (conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural.) statistically normal: For something to be statistically normal it needs to have a majority. Less than 5% of the country is gay making it far less normal and considerably "abnormal". Biological Normality: If homosexuality is considered normal because it occasionally occurs in the animal kingdom, then this does not support it being normal since it is practiced by a tiny percent of animal populations which is below the norm. If, however, an appeal is made to the fact that homosexuality occurs within animals regardless of the percentage of the occurrence, then this has problems because it implies that whatever occurs in the animal kingdom is normal for us. Then wouldn't this mean that it is normal to eat your young, to eat other creatures alive, to lie in wait to ambush and kill, smell other human being's rear ends, eat placentas, barf up food to give to your young, and eat your possess feces? Evolution: Finally it is obviously not genetically normal since the gene technically does not exist due to natural selection. If a "gay gene" were to exist it would be considered a genetic mutation. Being gay means you are a product of flawed genetic mutations at best, clearly not normal... So it raises the question, what exactly about be gay makes you "normal"? (I don't "hate gays" I adore everyone, i just dont like it when people are wrong or offend the dignity of others) Archanthus - yes it is normal to find gay people but that doesn't make the act of being gay normal. Normal is only subjective on an individual basis, but as a whole, it is finite.

Open Question: How come even 6% of likely NY Democrat voters Think Anthony Weiner Has Really Strong Moral Character?
6 Percent of Likely New York Democratic Voters Think Anthony Weiner Has Really Strong Moral Character That's the best news for the mayoral candidate in the latest Quinnipiac poll. Anthony Weiner's campaign for mayor of New York City has collapsed, a new Quinnipiac poll out on Monday shows. Weiner is now behind City Council Speaker Christine Quinn (27 percent), Public Advocate Bill de Blasio (21 percent), and former Comptroller William Thompson (20 percent). With 16 percent support among likely Democratic primary voters, Weiner is really only the envy of the current New York City comptroller, John Liue (6 percent), and Sal Albanese (2 percent). And 53 percent of likely Democratic voters think Weiner should drop out of the race altogether. That's a lot of bad news. At the same time, the bad news isn't that different from what Weiner saw last week in the Wall road Journal/NBC 4/Marist poll, which also had Weiner at 16 percent support http://www.nationaljournal.com/politics/6-percent-of-likely-new-york-democratic-voters-think-anthony-weiner-has-really-strong-moral-character-20130729 Wow 16% support the pervert, speaks volumes for those "highly intelligent" blue state Democrat voters doesn't it?

You did or rather most of us did! NOW do you understand why there are so many screw-ups (and cover-ups)? The economy was beginning to arrive back a year or so ago. Now, the GDP Growth Rate had continually gone down and is predicted to be around Zero for the second quarter this year! And... our "real" unemployment is STILL about 15 percent! The market IS up, but is NO LONGER a strong indicator of the US economy - now more "global" in scope. @ Edward. I guess your answer is why GW is now "ahead" of Obama in job approval rating! Open Question: Can a democratic Republic truly be considered "democratic" without campaign finance rules?
Or is it just plutocracy? Another case is coming that would make Citizens United even worse: http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/comment/2013/07/supreme-court-another-citizens-united-but-worse.html In 2010, 85% of home winners outspent their opponents. That's an anomaly. In most election years, it is in the 90s. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/oct/17/occupy-wall-road/occupy-wall-road-protesters-sign-says-94-percent/ Well, there IS Move to Amend. http://www.united4thepeople.org/local.html https://movetoamend.org/take-action Naturally, this is going to be REALLY difficult. Jimmy, there is a middle ground between direct democracy and corporate fascism. As mentioned, it's called a "democratic Republic."

tax foundation said a 10 corp. percent tax clip would only lift revenue .8 percent... about 23 billion... (my math, may be wrong) that wouldn't even cover Obama's roads plan of $50 billion... lol... in other words... corporate tax cuts really won't make that much money or that much difference... $23 billion sounds like a lot, but in a $14 trillion dollar economy... few will notice... no wonder you guys won't compromise, you know it's really just not worth it... we the people... yeah, you've got me by explaining what I just said again? lol frankly I assumed that the taxes would lift MUCH more than that the way cons talk about them... I expected at least a couple hundred billion... I would adore to receive some other people with some more numbers... this is just the one I found... if the revenue is bigger than $50 bil... it would be a good deal for the cons... heck, even my figures are just one year... if you could lock even my numbers in for 5 years and spread that spending out over 5 years... you're still making $70 billion more than before... approx... I clearly showed my math... I MAY VERY WELL BE WRONG... glad for someone to correct my numbers... math is not my strong suit... cons seem to be very good at telling me I'm wrong and bad about telling me how or why? I like how even though cons that slam me for two different things still receive the same thumbs up... lol slam me for being right, slam me for being wrong... both receive thumbs up... hahaha in other words... I'm trying to figure out if my math is right... and cons seem to have NO CLUE what the actual numbers are of the ideas they push... I could be against it... but I'm doing more to convince myself than any con seems to be capable of? lol do any of you know why you are against it?

Hello, I had a folder on my external difficult steer that i wanted to delete. it had about 10,000+ items in it, about 40 GB. I moved it to the trash, emptied the trash, and then my computer crashed and told me i had to hold down the power button. When i logged in to my computer again i tried to empty the trash, but there was nothing in there, the folder i tried to delete was not visible, and i can't press the empty trash button because there is nothing to delete. the folder is no longer visible on my eternal difficult steer, and it is not visible in the trash. Where the heck is it? So i kept my ext difficult steer plugged in, created a text edit document on my desktop, moved it to the trash, and it was visible in the trash so now i can press empty trash. The empty trash status bar appeared and said 0 items remaining but just stayed at half way, the trash wouldn't empty. I saw Locum in activity monitor was using about 99 percent cpu, so i left my macbook pro like this for a couple of days, but the trash would still not empty. Also, if i move anyhting else from the ext steer into trash, it just dissapears and is not visible. My ext difficult steer has only a few gigs of space left and i need to free up some space from it but i can't. Can someone please help me? Thanks Ps. I'm not a very technical person

I don't pay attention to them, but you cons certainly must have some idea as you study it like religion? what does their crunching say? Obama proposed I think a 7 percent clip in 2012... let's just use that number... arrive on, you guys have groaned about this for years and you don't even know how much it would lift? I don't have to have an exact number well I found this... "The Tax Foundation’s dynamic simulation model provides quantitative estimates of the growth and revenue effects. The model estimates, for example, that cutting the federal corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 25 percent would lift GDP by 2.2 percent, increase the private-business capital stock by 6.2 percent, boost wages and hours of work by 1.9 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, and increase total federal revenues by 0.8 percent."

It can include voter ID but is not limited to that. Freed of federal election supervision by the Supreme Court, the North Carolina legislature passed a bill that combines every idea for suppressing voter turnout that Republicans have advanced in other states. Rick Hasen, an election-law expert at the University of California, Irvine, called it “the most sweeping anti-voter law in at least decades.” The law requires a government-issued photo ID card to vote, but doesn’t allow student IDs, public-employee IDs, or photo IDs issued by public assistance agencies. It shortens the early voting window, bans same-day registration during early voting and prohibits paid voter registration drives. Counties will not be able to extend voting hours in cases of long lines, or allow provisional voting if someone arrives at the wrong precinct. Poll “observers” are encouraged to challenge people who show up to vote, and are given new powers to do so. NONE OF THIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH VOTER FRAUD. Out of 7 million ballots cast in the state in 2012, there were 121 allegations of voter fraud, a rate of .00174 percent. Republicans aren’t even claiming the measure will reduce fraud — only that it will provide reassurance to those who worry about it. It “would make nearly three-fourths of the population more comfortable and more confident when they go to the polls,” home Speaker Thom Tillis explained to NBC News.

"The exact origin of our planet's water, which covers about 70 percent of Earth's surface, is still a mystery to scientists. Researchers speculate that any water conglomerating on the surface of the planet as it formed 4.5 billion years ago would have most likely been evaporated away by the young, blazing sun The inner planets (Mars, Mercury, Venus), were also probably too hot to home water during the solar system's formation, so our water didn't arrive from them, either." http://www.livescience.com/33391-where-did-water-arrive-from.html
